2006 Navarre Krewe of
Jesters
Mardi Gras Parade
February 25, 2006
The 20th
Annual Navarre Beach Mardi Gras parade was held
February 25, 2006 under somewhat overcast
conditions. The parade was a resounding success,
and rain free at least for the parade. The crowd
was estimated to be between 8 and 10 thousand, with
the weather contributing to the low turn out. Those
that attended were treated to over 60 entries of
floats, antique cars, motorcycles, marching band,
drill teams and of course the famous NAVARRE KREWER
OF JESTERS awesome floats. You read it the “Krewe”
has grown so large that it now requires two floats
to get all the beads and members along the parade
route. Again this year the parade was conducted on
the mainland because of hurricane damage, this time
from “DENNIS”, with a little help from mothernature
the parade should be on the beach in 2007. The date
for that parade is February 17, 2007 at 1 P.M. make
your plans early to attend.
